Not So Ordinary

Not So Ordinary

Written by: Kate McRae

I’m the fireworks on the fourth of July

Writing a message in the sky

I’m the smile on a child who’s sick in bed

‘Cause he knows he’s got brighter days ahead

I’m the little girl with big dreams in her heart

Who doesn’t have a clue where to start

I’m the sunday school teacher trying to get the word across

“Jesus loves you this I know”, ┬ábefore her kids are lost.

I am hope, I am faith, and I am peace.

I am pride, I am strength, I am belief.

And there’s still magic to see

In this not so ordinary.

I’m the army general across the sea

Fighting for the brave and the free.

I’m the end of every fairy tale.

The prince will always come and break the spell.

I’m the tree all lit up on Christmas Eve

Before there’s any presents underneath.

I’m the twinkle in his eye as he gets down on one knee.

And says, “Darlin’ I sure love you. Will you marry me?”

I am hope, I am faith, and I am peace.

I am pride, I am strength, I am belief.

And there’s still magic to see

In this not so ordinary.

Life. Feel the power in every touch and the joy in every smile.

Open your eyes and see the wonder that makes our lives worthwhile.

I am hope, I am faith, and I am peace.

I am pride, I am strength, I am belief.

And there’s still magic to see

I am hope, I am faith, and I am peace.

I am pride, I am strength, I am belief.

And there’s still magic to see

In this not so ordinary.

Our life is not so ordinary.
